Insulation is critical to the cooling and heating efficiency of your
home. Many materials have used for insulation, from newspaper and
other cellulose-materials to fiberglass and mineral wool. Many newer
insulation types provide a vapor barrier if installed properly. Your
home inspection will identify if insulation is missing, identify the
insulation type & material used in the crawlspace and attic, as well
as the condition of the insulation in these areas & on the HVAC
ducts.
